Don Primero

(2) Don Primero was an international dressage horse and the producer of at least 15 international dressage horses

Donnerhall

(3) Donnerhall is the most successful dressage horse in the world and looks back on an exemplary career. He managed like no other sire of his generation to combine success in breeding and in sport alike. In 1986 Donnerhall was the German DLG Champion in Hanover. After many wins in Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special and freestyle classes at International level he became German champion in Mannheim with his constant rider Karin Rehbein in 1994, team world champion and individual bronze medal winner in The Hague. This was followed by another climax in 1997: Team gold and individual bronze at the European Dressage Championships in Verden. In 1998 he was once more included in the German world championship team and with Karin Rehbein was a member of the gold medal team in Rome, where he attained fourth place in the individual results. Donnerhall won the World Cup European League, as well as being the Oldenburg dressage stallion of the year in 1997 and 1998 respectively.

He is a prolific sire of dressage horses and has at least 60 who have competed internationally.

Donnerwetter

Donnerhall's father Donnerweter was himself an International dressage horse. He has produced over 50 graded sons and 35 state premium mares.

Pik Bube

(4) Fantasia's sire Pik Bube was a Grand Prix dressage horse, his sire Pik Konig was considered an important Show Jumping sire.

World Cup I

(5) World Cup I is recognised as an important dressage sire with numerous offspring competing at International level.

Graditz

(6) Graditz is the sire of the famous International dressage horse Gigilo and also produced several stallion sons.

Grande

His sire Grande was a famous show jumping sire who produced numerous stallion sons and also had a number of international show jumping and dressage progeny.

Grande produced 33 approved sons, 34 states premium mares and sent three of his showjumping progeny to the Olympic Games – Grande Giso (Holland), Grande (USA) and Gute Sitte (Belgium).
His grand children seem to have been the real stars – Galapagos with Gabriella Grillo represented Germany at the 1982 World Championships, and was one of the first stars of the ‘new’ class, Freestyle Dressage to Music. Grandeur (Gralsritter) won over a million Deutschmarks in a spectacular showjumping career, and since then has proven himself as a superior sire. Grande’s son Graphit sired winners of over almost two million DM and sired one of the most important jumping stallions of them all, Grannus. The Graphit son, Grundstein was one of Germany’s leading stallions before his export to the United States. Another son, Graditz sired Isabell Werth’s Olympic and World Championship star, Garibaldi II sired the American dressage star Gifted who carried Carol Lavell to a team bronze at the 1992 Games and placed 4th individually. Garibaldi II died at the age of only 14 which was a great loss.
Grunnox (by Grunewald) was another top dressage horse, this time with Monica Theodorescu, and together they were members of the 1992 Gold Medal team in Barcelona.

(7) Lisa's sire Lindberg was considered an important Show Jumping sire

Wenzel I  Wenzel I

(1) Wenzel I There are not many stallions that have been as successful as Wenzel 1, with 612 competition horses in Germany alone, winning of DM880,000 and almost all that in the dressage arena. On the world breeding in 2001 he had 7 international competitors listed which ranked him 10th for the period 1992-2001. He was the winner of his performance test in 1979, became the best stallion of 1980 and was the 1982 reserve champion at the DLG. In Hannover alone he left 1,208 progeny, including 350 broodmares, 68 of them state premium mares. At the elite auction he was represented by 80 offspring. Eight riding horses and one approved son sold for more than DM100,000- the first to break the 100K Barrier was Walk on Top who later won the 1998 World Cup Final with Sweden's Louise Nathhorst. At the 2001 European Championships, his son, Weldon Surprise performed excellently for his Portuguese rider Daniel Pinto. Wenzel was also an excellent sire of stallions including- Wousselt, Western Star, Westerland, Westerbury and through Western Star, Jonggers Weyden. He was to his dying day a grand old horse, with that air of someone that knew they were very special.

Woermann

(2)Woermann The Woermann group is today very much in demand by breeders. Standing from 1975-1988, Woermann was very good in conformation in all respects. and passes this to his offspring. An influential son is Wenzel I, a very prepotent stallion-you can always identify a Wenzel offspring-who has stood since 1980. He has sired many expensive auction horses. German National Champions in the riding-horse competition, and one of his daughters is already the Finnish dressage champion. His offspring are pure dressage horses.

Absatz Abglanz

(3) Absatz is one of the stallions who had the biggest influence in changing the appearance the of the Hanoverians within the last 20-30 years to a more modern. elegant type.

Abglanz, a Trakehner, sired the famous Absatz, who stood from 1964-1982.

(4) Wonne herself is the dam of a licensed stallion in Germany and the grandmother of another
